Be present, Be mindful, Become
When we as humans experience stressors, traumas and challenges, it is not uncommon for our lives to unravel in different ways. If you have ever found it difficult to navigate barriers in your life and experience anxiety and depression as a result, let’s talk. Together we can work on strategies and skills that will allow you to problem solve those barriers and address the root causes of them so you can begin to work towards a life you want.
I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2018 and have worked with older adults who experience chronic and serious mental illnesses since 2012. I identify as a Cisgender female and am sex and body positive and support relationships in all their forms. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a Minor in Human Sexuality from California State Northridge and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from California State University San Bernardino. I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Animal Assisted Therapy, Crisis Intervention, Maslow's, Strengths Based and Solution Focused therapeutic modalities and am EMDR certified. I'm a mother, a wife, spiritual, feminist and a first generation American born Filipino. All of these elements will be reflected in my work and approach to our journey together.
I work to create a non-judgmental, honest, steady and kind space for us to explore your life together. I believe it is my job to follow your lead in regards to timing, subject matter and intensity. I welcome everyone, despite gender, age, ethnicity, religion or sexual preference. I also utilize mindfulness techniques to help individuals learn to be in the present moment and to acknowledge and accept their vulnerabilities and emotional experiences.
I aim to have open and honest relationships with my clients along with being consistent, authentic and compassionate. My ultimate goal for healing your most authentic self is to allow you to experience being grounded in love and compassion for yourself. Being willing to be vulnerable, to face our insecurities and to acknowledge our feelings is one of the most courageous things we can do and will only bring you closer to living a full and healthy life.
